Inline Hockey Tournament – Regulations

5. Technical requirements for teams :
The team will be consisting of 4 skaters and 1 goalie. Essential equipment: hockey stick, protective helmet, skates, shin pads, gloves. The goalie has to be fully equipped (if there is any problems with finding a goalie please contact the Organizer).

6. Players :
There will be 4 team skaters and 1 goalie on the pitch at the time. Minimum required participants : 8 skaters and 1 goalie. Maximum allowed participants registered for a particular game: 16 skaters and 2 goalies.

7. The pitch :
The floor surface will be hard and flat, made of non-milled paving stone. In this way any obstacles and unnecessary friction can be avoided and the ball can roll naturally without jumping.

8. Hockey pitch size :
Side boards are 50 cm in height. Pitch is the area of 40m in length and 20m in width.

9. Game timing :
Timing will depend on the number of teams registered for the tournament. Most likely the game will be played in two 15-minute periods. In case of a draw, series of penalty kicks will be taken.

10. Penalties :
Apart from traditional penalties, where, after receiving a penalty participant leaves the pitch for 2 minutes or longer which makes his team less effective, there is more possible penalties to be applied:
- free kick
A free kick is to be taken by an opposite team player from the area designated by the Judge. A free kick can be taken from the face-off area or from the area between face-off spots located along the pitch. Free kicks cannot be taken inside the penalty area.
- yellow card
Handing a yellow card results in suspending a player for 10 minutes, player has to stay on the penalty bench. Penalised player will be covered by another player.
- second yellow card (yellow and red card handed together)
Red and yellow card handed together can be given for a second bigger offence or instead of a second yellow card. Yellow/red cards suspend player in the current game. Player shall leave the pitch and go to changing rooms.
- red card
Handing a red card results in eliminating player from the game and suspending him for the two next games. Player is sent to changing rooms. However, he can still play, until Jury formally confirms the penalty in question.
- black card
Handing a black card results in suspending player for the rest of the game and sending him to the changing rooms. Such player is not allowed to take part in any further game until Jury decides otherwise. For the rest of the regulations see standard Ice Hockey Regulations.

11. Organizer reserves right to cancel the game due to reverse weather conditions.

12. Organizer does not plan to charge any entry fees.

13. Trophies will be awarded for top three places.
